I'm just a SAHM with an addiction to books. I like to read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I have great parents that often pack boxes of books to send to me. But I have learned to become annoyed with the clutter of reading. So I try to get as much as possible out my door quickly. PBS has been a great help with this, especially since it feeds my habit at the same time.

Other than books, my life revolves around my first grader and my DH. And my computer.

For games and swaps:

I'm one of those disgustingly crafty people. I like to sew and crochet, but scrapbooking in my prefered medium. I can barely cook and my housekeeping skills are questionable, but I can make superhero capes for the neighborhood kids.

I have no allergies.

I bookmark, not dogear. I don't drink coffee or tea. I have a horrible weakness for Cadbury mini eggs. Thank goodness they are only around between Valentines day and Easter. Peanut Butter M&Ms take care of me for the rest of the year.

What do I read? Pretty much anything. I tend to go with what is popular, simply because it is avalible. I started this year with a cozy phase. Right now, I seem to be going back and forth with my cozies and paranormal books. I like to find a good author and go with them until they have nothing more to offer. I love book recommendations and am usually willing to try anything once. I firmly believe that The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is one of the best books ever written. JRR Tolkien and Andrea Norton are the grandparents of Fantasy, even if I have a hard time reading their books. I much more a Mercedes Lackey kind of girl. Dean Koontz is a scary guy. There is nothing wrong with reading romance. Chicklit should be light and funny. You don't have to be Christian to enjoy Christian fiction. Stephanie Plum and Anita Blake are strong women with weaknesses and their best feature is their sense of humor.
